Performance, 15mins Performed at PERFORM| VARI | ÉTE, Zentralwaescherei, Zurich

This performance is an explicit knife show, including original music that I composed, movements that I choreographed and poems that I wrote. 

This performance is conceptualised from my real experience when I first came to Europe and was a submissive Asian student of the white male gaze and education. 

This performance was also reflecting the Abjection of Chinese eating culture in the Eurocentric discourse. This performance will critically think about European table manners in the postcolonial context. 

The performance narrates: "In a Chinese restaurant when we were eating Chinese fried noodles. He told me that "you can't put a knife in your mouth". 

That was not true. I can. I can even put the knife in another hole of mine."
